‘Ambacht in de kijker’: choose your favorite contestant

‘Ambacht in de kijker’ or ‘Craftsmanship in the spotlight’ is an annual, national competition that aims to promote the crafts sector to the general public. The organization, along with its numerous public and private Flemish and Wallonian partners selected twelve candidates. The general public can also vote for their favorite contestant until 15 April via http://www.ambachtindekijker.com. The winner of the public’s choice award will receive €2000. Voters have the chance to win a culinary gourmet basket worth €100.

Pieter Bombeke  is one of the candidates. He is a third generation diamond professional as a master polisher with over 40 years of experience as a master polisher. Apart from mastering the skill of polishing diamonds to perfection, Bombeke is renowned for designing new diamond cuts with special optical effects.
