Antwerp diamond sector welcomes students at SID-in fair

Following the success of previous years, the Antwerp diamond sector will again be present at the Study Information Days (SID-in Fair), which will take place from 29 till 31 January in Antwerp. In collaboration with the Fonds voor Diamantnijverheid, AWDC will inform students about the basic training program for diamond polishing and promote the Antwerp Diamond Jobs website.

Visitors will receive information regarding the unique character of the diamond sector, the challenges that it faces and potential job opportunities within the sector. They will also be able to enjoy a live demonstration of Antwerp’s master polisher Pieter Bombeke. The fair is organized by the Centra voor Leerlingenbegeleiding and the Agentschap voor Onderwijscommunicatie. Last year, the fair introduced secondary students to a wide range of study and career opportunities available after secondary school graduation.
