Sunday, 5 October marks the 24th edition of Open Company Day. After the great successes of the past two years, AWDC is once again taking part in the event. The concept remains the same, but the Antwerp diamond sector does have some new surprises in store!

Every first Sunday of October numerous Flemish companies open their doors to the general public. For the third year running, the Antwerp diamond sector is taking part in this event. Open Company Day is a unique opportunity for people to become acquainted with a world they may otherwise never enter. Visitors will have the opportunity to stroll through the diamond district and the AWDC building and visit the diamond bourses. They will get the chance to discover the wonderful world of diamonds, one of Belgium’s most grand and intriguing sectors. Additionally, visitors will get to sample the multicultural cuisine that is specific to the sector and have their jewelry polished. Children's entertainment will also be provided.

One of this year’s new activities is a 'diamond cocktail' organized for charity. But the highlight of the day will undoubtedly be the exhibition of a pair of diamond boots worth €2.35 million, that was presented in cooperation with Diarough/UNI-Design and A.F. Vandevorst, at the Business of Design Week in Hong Kong in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium.

Don’t miss out and pay us a visit on Sunday, 5 October between 10am and 5pm!
