Antwerp Diamond Companies are faced with several physical threats: fraud, theft, switching, robbery, burglary, tigerkidnapping … In the last few months, AWDC SO has been observing the emergence of another type of threat: cyber crime.
Examples of cyber crime include, but are not limited to: e-mail hacking, caller ID fraud, money exchange fraud, invoice fraud, bank transfer fraud, malware attacks …

The briefing will take place on Tuesday 16 December from 14h00 until 15h00 in the Boardroom of the AWDC building.

With its Cyber Crime Awareness Briefing, AWDC SO wants to reach out to the Antwerp Diamond Community to increase awareness on the recent surge of cyber crime. The briefing is aimed at CEO's, GM's, CFO's and personnel mandated to order or perform financial transactions such as payments, money exchanges and transfers.

The Cyber Crime Awareness Briefing will elaborate on the following topics:

• The status of the current threat (incl. examples of the Antwerp Diamond Sector)
• Operational and financial impact on the individuals, the company and the insurance policy
• The recommended security measures
