Belgian Ambassador to Congo-Brazzaville and AWDC meet in Antwerp

Last week, His Excellency Frederic Renard, Belgian Ambassador to the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville engaged in a meaningful dialogue with AWDC Management, especially concerning the precarious situation in the Central African Republic (CAR).

His Excellency Ambassador Renard and the AWDC Management exchanged information on the state of affairs in terms of dealing with potential smuggling of diamonds outside CAR. As Congo-Brazzaville borders with CAR, the meeting focused on the importance of safeguarding the Kimberley Process, by effectively dealing with the potential threats or risks. Both parties emphasized that the necessary measures need to be implemented to the fullest in order to prevent any potential smuggling.
