AWDC supports future professional cyclists

Thursday, 23 April, 2015

Sunday 19 April marked the 28th edition of the Herman Vanspringels Diamond cycling race for 15 and 16-year-old future professional cyclists. The winner, Robbe Snels, went home with a diamond.

The Herman Vanspringels Diamond cycling race has been known as a top-shelf event for years. The list of past winners, including Tom Bonen, Jurgen Van den Broeck, Wim De Vocht, Jurgen Roelandts and Nicolas Maes, makes this readily apparent. The Antwerp World Diamond Centre, which believes strongly in the development of diamonds in the rough into professional cyclists, has therefore supported this event for over 14 years. As a result of his victory, winner Robbe Snels was rewarded with a sparkling diamond to take home.
