AWDC and AIA support first edition of International Day of Yoga in Antwerp on June 21

On June 21, the first International Day of Yoga will be celebrated around the world. The Antwerp Indian Association and AWDC have joined efforts to host the first edition of this event in Antwerp.

It was a landslide victory for India when the UN General Assembly declared June 21 the “International Day of Yoga”, inspired by Prime Minister of India Narenda Modi’s speech last September, urging the world community to celebrate yoga on an international level.

With an expected 1,500 participants in Antwerp alone, the event will not only bring together an unprecedented number of yoga enthusiasts, but will also unite people across the globe in solidarity.
