Tender fever in Antwerp continues with special Rio Tinto tender March 9 – 28

The tender fever in Antwerp continues with Rio Tinto tendering 124 lots from the Argyle (Australian), Diavik (Canadian) and Murowe (Zimbabwe) diamond mines, from 9 until 28 March.
Antwerp will be host to tendering a unique combination of white and fancy coloured rough diamonds.Some of the noteworthy diamonds include:
- A 70-carat white diamond from the Diavik mine;
- Several fancy and intense yellow diamonds from all mines;
- Several large dark brown diamonds from the Argyle mine;
- A range for extremely rare natural pink rough diamonds from the Argyle mine and,
- Several purple diamonds from the Diavik mine.
The bulk of Rio Tinto’s rough diamond production is sold in Antwerp through two-year supply agreements with select diamantaires.
