After the Antwerp diamond industry had made it a priority in recent years to conquer the Asian market, in 2015 it will set its sights on Latin America. Brazil in particular has many opportunities with regard to diamond production. Accompanied by Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Pieter De Crem, from 12 through 17 March the Antwerp World Diamond Centre will travel to Brazil for the first time.
In 2015, the AWDC will again be organizing a new Antwerp Diamond Pavilion. The new pavilion will be located at the Vicenzaoro Dubai show, a unique B2B event in the Middle East dedicated to the jewelry business community. The show will be held from April 23 to 26, 2015.
AWDC will be present at the Istanbul Jewelry Show from 12 to 15 March in the Istanbul Fair Center (CNR Expo). From March 2-6, the AWDC will host 109 leading diamond traders in the Antwerp Diamond Pavilion at the 2015 Hong Kong Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show. It is the second year the traditional Hong Kong March fair features a separate loose stones venue. In its first year, the show attracted over 28,000 professional buyers from around the world, marking its emergence as one of the most successful shows in the industry.
In 2015 the Antwerp Diamond Team will participate again in the Antwerp 10 Miles! On Sunday, April 26th, tens of thousands of sports enthusiasts will participate in the 30st edition of the 'Antwerp 10 miles', Antwerp's most important sports event of the year. Evidently, the Antwerp diamond community should be part of this event. So dust off your running shoes and join us on April 26th! AWDC commits to pay the registration fee for all members of the team and will provide a special T-shirt.
The Rough Diamond Days that took place this week in the Antwerpsche Diamantkring were once again a great success. Some 65 exhibitors traded large amounts of rough diamonds to national and international diamond dealers.
Bonas-Couzyn is pleased to announce that it plans to host viewings for a fancy color polished diamond tender in Antwerp from 16 – 20 March. The product offering will be limited to natural, GIA-certified fancy color polished diamonds. A significant proportion of lots displayed will be rare fancy colors.
