Second Zimbabwe Diamond Conference taking place this week Thursday, 6 November, 2014 Public Affairs, Events

The Zimbabwe Diamond Conference is taking place in Harare on November 6 and 7, with ‘Completing Zimbabwe's diamond potential for the future’ as the central theme. Participants include African mining ministers, diamond mining companies, and world leading diamond manufacturers and traders. Ari Epstein, CEO of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, will be delivering a speech to the numerous key stakeholders in attendance.

On 8 October 2014, the KP Chair issued a notice terminating the measures preventing the import of all rough diamonds from Côte d’Ivoire by any state.

WDC meeting in Antwerp: looking to the future Thursday, 30 October, 2014 CSR & Compliance, Events

From 28 to 30 October, members of the World Diamond Council assembled in Antwerp for the 2014 Annual General Meeting. The discussions focused on issues associated with the Kimberley Process, 14 years after its establishment, and the role of the WDC in relation to the risks facing the KP. AWDC was very proud to host an event of such importance.

Antwerp World Diamond Centre attends summits in Angola Thursday, 23 October, 2014 CSR & Compliance, Public Affairs

This week the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) has embarked on a mission to Angola, who will become chairman of the Kimberley Process (KP) next year. AWDC has planned a number of important meetings with the Minister of Mines, the Minister of Economy and the future President of the KP.
In support of Angola’s KP chairmanship, AWDC, as requested by the Angolan government, is also organizing a number of workshops on the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.
