As part of the “Anti Tigerkidnapping Program”, AWDC Security Office announces the next monthly ‘security awareness training session’, which will take place on Thursday October 31st, between 11 AM and noon in the AWDC building. This training session is targeted at anyone who works in the Antwerp diamond industry.

On Tuesday, the Antwerp Beurs voor Diamanthandel bustled with activity, as the first Antwerp Diamond Manufacturers and Traders Fair was launched. This Fair, the first local specialist event dedicated to the more than one thousand Antwerp diamond manufacturers and traders, demonstrated the resilience and potential of Antwerp’s polished market.
Last week the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) and Jet Airways signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’. This unique partnership provides the Antwerp diamond industry with discounts from 10 to 50% for flights to India (Mumbai and New Delhi) and other destinations like New York, Toronto, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok. In addition, Jet Airways is the only airliner that offers daily and direct flights to Mumbai.
The Board of Directors of the ‘Beurs voor Diamanthandel’ is launching a pilot project for local diamond manufacturers and traders to display their polished diamonds in the hall of the ‘Beurs voor Diamanthandel’, at a one-day Antwerp Diamond Manufacturers and Traders Fair. This is an initiative in cooperation with the other Antwerp diamond bourses.
