No less than 182 enthusiastic runners registered to be part of the Antwerp Diamond Team, taking part in the Antwerp Ten Miles race, this coming Sunday, 28 April. The Antwerp Ten Miles atmosphere is truly unique! This year’s race boasts a record participation of 40 000 runners. We are the world's largest diamond trading hub, with a yearly turnover of more than 40 billion euro, representing 8.25% of Belgium's total exports and 10% of Flanders’ exports. The fact that we are one of the most important export sectors of Flanders and Belgium is a true asset, which should feature more prominently in the spotlight. The ‘Export Lion' is an annual prize awarded by Flanders Investment & Trade, to companies that were most successful in exports in the previous year. The 'Export Lion' will be awarded in two categories, ‘small enterprises’ and ‘medium/large enterprises’.

Chinese Ambassador Yang Yanyi visits Antwerp diamond sector Thursday, 10 April, 2014 Public Affairs, Events

On Wednesday 9 April, Her Excellency Ambassador Yang Yanyi, Head of the Permanent Representation of the People’s Republic of China to the European Union, visited the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). All female personnel from the Permanent Representation to the EU took part in this visit, in the context of the International Women’s Day.
